Liturgi yang Bermain untuk Generasi Z di Masa Pandemi COVID-19: Suatu Panduan Melalui Perspektif Romano Guardini

Tiarma Pintauli Tambun

Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 led churches to strive for a virtual world and live with some boredom due to online interaction. Some churches and schools try to adjust themselves to these conditions by running the virtual service via Zoom and YouTube. However, this effort is not holistic for the whole people. Virtual worship is not paying attention enough to the Z generation who are facing boredom, loneliness, and anger due to the pandemic, especially during the quarantine. Basically, this generation is close to playful activity. Playful has been part of education (paideia). Some text in the Old Testament and the New Testament has connected playfully with rejoiceful, happiness, joy, and fun. From these Z generation’s problems and with the playful theology pedestal, this paper tries to construct a playful liturgy for the Z generation who lost enthusiasm for virtual worship during the pandemic. This research has shown that playful liturgy is able to give a space for the Z generation to be more interactive and active in worship.
