Abstract

Indonesia has the fourth largest population in the world and the country with the largest Muslim-majority population. Indonesia also has many adherents of Christianity, accompanied by adherents of other religions and beliefs which have long coexisted in Indonesia. A life that liberates everyone to embrace their beliefs has long been happening in Indonesia as part of a culture of mutual respect, cooperation, and assistance in the community. Christian religious education supports freedom of religion, which is the fundamental right of every human being to choose what to believe without being forced by other people and the state. Christian religious education is the foundation taught in schools and churches on how God gave free will to humans. Therefore, freedom of religion is a gift that God has given that is inherent in human nature. Indonesia can be an example of how culturally and religiously they can coexist. The purpose of this study is to explain that the implication of religious freedom is the availability of Christian religious education at the school level. The research method used is library research which collects materials from books and journals and then manages them to take the formulations needed in writing this research.
