Pemimpin yang Mewakili Umat di Hadapan Allah: Refleksi Teologis Keluaran 18:1-27

Abstract

The leader who represents the people before God, presents the concept of a leader who stands between the people being led and God. He confronts the matters, problems, and difficulties, of the people to God; like a priest carrying a sacrifice, standing on behalf of the people before God; giving the teaching of God's statutes and decrees and telling them the way to be walked, and the work to be done; is able to recruit prospective leaders from the lowest to the highest levels to receive leadership delegations and provide leadership relays to the next generation. This research uses a literature study approach with the descriptive presentation, interpretation of the text of Exodus 18:1-27 as well as field observations; that a leader represents the people being led before God and bringing their things before God.  The results of this study are expected to be able to play a role in representing the people before God and bringing the welfare of the people they lead.

Pemimpin yang mewakili umat di hadapan Allah, mengetengahkan konsep Pemimpin yang berdiri di antara umat yang dipimpin dan Allah. Ia menghadapkan perkara-perkara, masalah, kesulitan, umat kepada Allah; seperti seorang imam yang membawa korban, berdiri mewakili umat di hadapan Allah; mengajarkan ketetapan dan keputusan Allah yang diterima, dan memberitahukannya kepada umat jalan yang harus dilalui; tugas dan tanggungjawab yang harus dijalankan; merekrut calon pemimpin dari level terendah sampai tertinggi untuk menerima delegasi kepemimpinan dan memberikan estafet kepemimpinan kepada generasi berikutnya. Me-tode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur dengan penyajian deskriptif, interpretasi teks Keluaran 18:1-27, serta observasi lapangan; bahwa seorang pemimpin yang mewakili umat di hadapan Allah akan membawa masalah-masalah mereka kepada Allah. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu diharapkan agar dapat berperan mewakili umat di hadapan Allah dan membawa kesejahteraan umat yang dipimpinnya.
