Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the global community has put everyone in a difficult situation. The majority of the global population, by and large, view this outbreak as purely a disease. This article aims to show how religious life in the Covid-19 situation produces various excesses. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results of the description in this paper, the Covid-19 pandemic produces excesses from the political side by reducing the intensity of war in countries that have been in conflict and showing the tendency for the power elite to achieve its goals through various policies. Meanwhile, from an economic point of view, pharmaceutical shareholders, large corporations, and a handful of countries benefit from the procurement of vaccines and medical equipment. From a religious perspective, Covid-19 is a prophetic scripture as a sign of the end of time, as well as a manifestation of God's immanence in events taking place in the world.
